National Day of Mourning – April 28th

For workers killed, injured or disabled on the job.

The National Day of Mourning was established in Canada by the Canadian Labour Congress in 1984.  It is now recognized in 80 countries around the world.

On April 28, we come together to remember, reflect and renew our efforts to keep workers safe and healthy.  Focusing on improving workplace health and safety remains important today, as many workers still face unsafe and unhealthy working conditions.
