2013 Blair Doucet Youth Summer Camp

General Information

When?  It’s our 13th camp this year from August 5 – 9, 2013

Where?  Moncton Campus of l’Université de Moncton

Who can attend?  The sons and daughters, from grade 9 to 12, of all the members of the NBFL union affliates

The cost?  No cost, except you will be responsible for the transportation for your son or daughter to and from the camp

Advantages?  The participants learn a lot on the functioning of unions, collective bargaining, health and safety at the workplace, history….  Plus each participant receives a scholarship of $250 dollars for his/her participation the year they graduate from high school.

Learn about:

• your rights as a worker
• democracy and unions
• health and safety at work
• history of unions
• environment
• other issues

 Have Fun!:

• Discover the Greater Moncton area during afternoon and evening field trips.  Ex.:  Magic Mountain, Pointe-du-Chêne, Parlee Beach etc.
• Make friends with youths from around the province!
